Women's Golf Publishes 2023-24 Schedule

CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas women's golf team has revealed its 2023-24 schedule, as announced by first year Head Coach Summar Roachell. The Bears are on tap to play nine regular season events before culminating in the ASUN Championships in April.

"I am really excited about the schedule we have put together this season. We have three new tournaments that will provide opportunities to compete against some of the top teams in the country," Roachell said of the schedule. "We have an experienced team who is hungry for success and I believe this schedule will prepare us for a run into the postseason. Our team has put a lot of time in over the summer and will come back prepared for the upcoming season."

The year opens on September 10th, as the Bears take part in the Golfweek Fall Challenge in Pawleys Island, S.C. The team then makes its return to Wolcot, Colo., to play in the Golfweek Red Sky Classic. October sees Central Arkansas play back-to-back weeks in the Natural State, playing in both Arkansas State's and Little Rock's events. The fall season wraps up with The Judson, hosted by Southern Miss, on October 30th-31st.

With the cooling of the weather and the closing of courses, the Bears won't be back on the course until February 4th, playing in Orlando, Fla., at Roachell's last coaching spot in UCF. Central Arkansas takes to the coast in March, playing in the Tulane Classic and the Bama Beach Bash before finishing the regular season on April 8th-9th at Mercer's Brickyard Collegiate. The following week, the ASUN teams will meet in Huntsville, Ala., for the ASUN Championship.

"I am really looking forward to seeing this team compete each week both in practice and tournaments. We have the opportunity to build a strong culture that pushes for excellence in everything we do," Roachell added. "That starts on day one. I know this team is ready to get to work and I am looking forward to leading them towards their goals this season"
